The clearance
for the existing paperwork requirements will continue through
August 1985, or until the final notice for the class exemption
proposed on 1/24/85 becomes effective, whichever is earlier. No
later than at the time the final notice for the class exemption is
published in the Federal Register, the Department should submit a
new paperwork package that: 1. reflects any substantive changes to
the proposed paperwork requirements made since the proposed
exemption was published, 2. includes a full justification for the
Department's estimate in section 13 of the supporting statement
that 25 percent of all employee benefit plans would be affected by
the exemptions, and 3. contains a fully-justified estimate of the
total burden hours attributed to the paperwork requirements
associated with the class exemption.
