Abstract: IMPROVEMENTS AND STANDARDIZATION IN BUILDING PRODUCT APPROVAL PRACTICE HAVE BEEN CALLED FOR IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTOR STUDIES. THE SURVEY WILL, FOR THE FIRST TIME, IDENTIFY THE FUNDAMENTAL NEEDS OF MANUFACTURERS, REGULATORS, OWNERS, DESIGNERS, BUILDERS, TESTING AGENCIES, AND STANDARDS WRITING ORGANIZATIONS VIA A STATISTICALLY VALID APPROACH.
