PROVISIONS FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF STATES AND INDIAN TRIBES IN THE
PROCESS OF SITING AND DEVELOPING A HIGH-LEVEL RADIOACTIVE WASTE
GEOLOGIC REPOSITORY. THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS DO NOT REQUIRE STATES
AND AFFECTED INDIAN TRIBES TO SUBMIT ANY PROPOSALS. THIS IS
STRICTLY VOLUNTARY ON THEIR PART AND ONLY IF THEY DESIRE TO DO SO
WOULD THE INFORMATION IN QUESTION BE REQUIRED OF THEM.
