FEMA NEEDS CONSISTENT INFORMATION ON
THE STATUS OF STATE/LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND THE IMPACT OF
FEMA FUNDS ON IMPROVING CAPABILITY. HICA/MYDP DATA WILL ESTABLISH
NATIONWIDE BASELINE ON STATE/LOCAL HAZARDS, CURRENT CAPABILITY, AND
RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS. DATA WILL BE USED TO SET PROGRAM PRIORITIES,
PREPARE THE BUDGET, AND ALLOCATE FUNDS.
