DOT's FAR
supplement is approved for use under the Paperwork Reduction Act
through 1/31/85 only. It must be resubmitted with an expanded
justification containing an item by item discussion of the need for
ea paragraph or subject (pertaining to information collection) in
DOT's FAR supplement that consists of more than a simple citation
to the FAR This discussion must show the need for each additional
DOT requirement or modification in language -- explaining why DOT
believes, in other words, that it is essential to its procurement
operations to have thes supplementary provisions instead of relying
on the text of the FAR itself. In addition, the revised
justification statement must describ DOT's plans, if any, to
propose to the Civilian Agency Acquisition Council that DOT F
4220.6, which is also used by EPA, be incorporated into the
FAR.

THE TRANSPORTATION ACQUISITION
