The survey of
physicians and dentists remains disapproved. Only the survey of
institutions is approved. OMB strongly encourages that the
institutional form be sent to VA facilities so that a better
comparison of VA vs private-sector experience can be made. Slight
modification of the forms will have to be made, but since the forms
are for VA facilities, no further OMB approval will be
required.

SURVEY DATA IS NEEDED FOR DETERMINING
APPROPRIATE LEVELS OF SPECIAL PA FOR VA PHYSICIANS AND DENTISTS
UNDER PUBLIC LAW 96-330. DEMOGRAPHIC, EMPLOYMENT AND COMPENSATION
DATA WILL BE COLLECTED FROM INDIVIDUAL PHYSICIANS AND DENTISTS IN
VARIOUS EMPLOYMENT SETTINGS (I.E., HOSPITAL UNIFORM SERVICES, HMOS
AND MEDICAL SCHOOLS) AND FROM CERTAIN HEALTH CA
INSTITUTIONS.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
