TIRE IDENTIFICATION AND RECORDKEEPING (LABEL). THE JUSTIFICATION
STATEMENT FOR THIS COMBINED TIRE LABELING PACKAGE MUST EXPLAIN WHY
AN APPARENT CACAPHONY OF SEPARATE TIRE LABELING REQUIREMENTS IS
NEEDED AND NHTSA'S EFFORTS, IF ANY, TO REDUCE THE BURDEN ASSOCIATED
WITH THESE REQUIREMENTS.

THIS STANDARD REQUIRES ALL NEW TIRES
FOR USE ON MOTOR VEHICLES OTHER THAN PASSENGER CARS TO BE LABELED
WITH CERTAIN INFORMATION.
