Abstract: STATE AGENCIES ADMINISTERING BLOCK GRANTS ARE REQUESTED TO PROVIDE SPECIFIC ELEMENTS OF INFORMATION ON CONDUCT OF AUDITS. INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO PROVIDE FEDERAL PROGRAM OFFICIALS AND AUDITORS INFORMATION ON WHICH TO ASSESS ADEQUACY OF STATES' AUDITS, AND THUS AVOID BURDENSOME SEPARATE REVIEWS OF STATES' ACTIVITIES, AND TARGET TECHNICA ASSISTANCE EFFORTS TO STATES, WHERE NEEDED.
