UNDER SECTION 332 OF THE TARIFF ACT OF
1930, THE USITC HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE FACT-FINDING
REPORTS AS ISSUES AFFECTING U.S TRADE POSITION. DATA COLLECTED
THROUGH THE QUESTIONNAIRES WILL PROVID THE PRESIDENT, THE CONGRESS,
OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, AND INTERESTED PARTIES OF THE PRIVATE
SECTOR WITH AN UP-TO-DATE ASSESSMENT OF THE COMPETITIVE POSITION OF
THE U.S. METALWORKING MACHINE TOOL INDUSTRY.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies

1320.8(b)(3).
