Abstract: DETERMINES AND EVALUATES KNOWLEDGE OF, AND ATTITUDES AND MOTIVATIONS TOWARD MILITARY SERVICE (ACTIVE DUTY) OF YOUTH (16-21 YEARS OF AGE). GENERATES CROSS-SECTIONAL TIME SERIES DATA ON PROPENSITY TO SERVE AND ON OTHER KEY ISSUES FOR TREND ANALYSES. USED BY DOD AND SERVICES TO DEVELOP RECRUITING STRATEGIES AND INCENTIVE PROGRAMS INCLUDING DIFFERENT BONUS LEVELS, VARIOUS TYPES OF EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE, AND OTHER ENLISTMENT OPTIONS.
