Abstract: THE PLANT VARIETY PROTECTION ACT PROVIDES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES OF PROTECTION ON NOVEL VARIETIES OF SEED-REPRODUCED CROPS SIMILAR TO PATENTS. INFORMATION COLLECTED, OTHER THAN BY FORM LMGS 47 AND SERIES, GIVES THE APPLICANT AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXTEND, REVISE, WITHDRAW, ABANDON, AND REQUEST RECONSIDERATION OF APPLICATIONS.
