Abstract: SECTION 1312.18, CFR 21, REQUIRES THAT ANY PERSON REGISTERED OR AUTHORIZED TO IMPORT ANY NON-NARCOTIC CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES LISTED IN SCHEDULES III, IV OR V, MUST FURNISH A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IMPORT DECLARATION ON DEA FORM 236. THE INFORMATION IS USED BY THE DRUG ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION FOR ISSUING IMPORT DECLARATION AND EXERCISING CONTROL MEASURES OVER THE IMPORTATION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES.
