This information
collection is approved to 1982. This clearance is to allow the ICC
time to procede in its rulemaking (NPRM published March 1981) to
consider modifications to this reporting requirement. In
particular, OMB suggests that the Commission consider whether
monthly reporting is necessary (as opposed to less frequent
reporting) and whether the currently used 7 - category
classification system should be modified. When this package is
resubmitted, the ICC should more clearly explain the need for and
Federal use of the information collected.
