PROCESS OF NOMINATING PROPERTIES TO THE NATIONAL REGISTER IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE NATIONAL HISTORIC PRESERVATION ACT AND IS THE
MINIMUM INFOMATION NECESSARY TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
ACT. THESE EMERGENCY REGULATIONS ARE NECESSAR TO RESPOND TO THE
1980 AMENDMENTS TO THE ACT WHICH REQUIRE MAJOR CHANG IN THE
NOMINATING PROCESS.
