12 CFR 563.1 AND SECTION 403(B) OF THE
NATIONAL HOUSING ACT REQUIRE THE BANK BOARD TO APPROVE REQUESTS BY
STATE-CHARTERED ASSOCIATIONS FOR FSLIC DEPOSIT INSURANCE. THE
INSURANCE OF ACCOUNTS APPLICATION IS USED TO EVALUATE THE
MANAGEMENT AND FINANCIAL CONDITION OF THE APPLICANT TO ASSURE THAT
GRANTING OF INSURANCE WOULD NOT POSE AN UNDUE RISK TO THE
FSLIC.
