During the DOD
FY 82 ICB hearing, OMB asked the Department to discuss the
collection and management of information needed to support defense
mobilization and similar emergencies. DOD responded that they were
unable to answer since no one had been selected yet for this area.
SSubsequently, this report was received for clearance. DOD was
requested to provide OMB with a briefing, but has not done so. The
report is approved thru January 30, l982. At the time of
resubmission DOD will brief OMB on the collection and management of
emergency information. DOD should arrange for participation in the
briefing by FEMA and any other agency with a significant interest
in this issue.
