Should the
Department wish to extend this approval it shall include the
following in its supporting statement: 1. The data elements on the
form which are not entered into the IRS computers, 2. The revenue
consequences, if any, if these data elements were not required, and
3. data showing how and under what circumstance the IRS used these
noncomputerized data elements. Unless there is compelling evidence
of need the Department should eliminate all data elements from IRS
forms that are nor entered into the computerize data systems.
