Abstract: THE ORDER REQUIRES VESSEL OPERATING COMMON CARRIERS TO FILE FINANCIAL DATA IN CONNECTION WITH PROPOSED RATE CHANGES AND INITIAL TARIFF FILINGS. DOCUMENTS, ACCOUNTS, RECORDS, RATES, CHARGES OR CORRESPONDENCE USED IN PREPARING REPORTS FILED WITH THE COMMISSION MUST BE MAINTAINED FOR AUDIT PURPOSES. THE COMMISSION USES THE INFORMATION TO DETERMINE THE SOUNDNESS OF ECONOMIC JUSTIFICATIONS FOR PROPOSED RATE CHANGES. (RELATED FORMS - FMC - 377 AND FMC-378).
