VEHICLE MANUFACTURERS MUST SUBMIT
OWNER'S MANUALS WARRANTY STATEMENTS TO EPA PRIOR TO THE
INTRODUCTION OF A VEHICLE FOR SALE. EPA REVIEWS THESE MATERIALS TO
ASSURE THAT MANUFACTURERS PROVIDE THE INFORMATION TO PURCHASERS
WHICH THE CLEAN AIR ACT REQUIRES. THE S.207(B) EMISSION PERFORMANCE
WARRANTY WAS EFFECTIVE BEGINNING WITH THE 1981 MODEL YEAR.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
