Abstract: THIS INFORMTION COLLECTION REQUIREMENT IS MANDATED BY SECTION 301 OF P.L. 95-87 AND REQUEST INFORMATION NEEDED TO ASSIST STATES IN CARRYING ON THE WORK OF COMPETENT AND QUALIFIED MINING AND MINERAL RESOURCES RESEARCH INSTITUTES. IT IS USED BY OSM'S BUDGET OFFICE AND DIVISION OF APPLIED RESEARCH IN COMPUTING ALLOTMENT, RESEARCH, AND SCHOLARSHIP/FELLOWSHIP GRANTS AND IN GENERATING FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT REPORTS.
