Abstract: SECTION 303 OF THE PACKERS AND STOCKYARDS ACT (7 U.S.C. 203) REQUIRES ALL PERSONS DESIRING TO OPERATE AS MARKET AGENCIES OR DEALERS TO REGISTER WITH THE SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURE. APPLICATION OBTAINS INFORMATION ON BUSINESS ORGANIZATION, LIVESTOCK HANDLING, AND CURRENT ASSETS AND LIABILITIES. APPLICANT MUSHT SHOW SOLVENCY AND OBTAIN PROPER BOND COVERAGE BEFORE REGISTRATION CAN BE APPROVED.
