THIS PROJECT IS A FIELD TEST OF A
PROGRAM TO PROVIDE SUBSIDIZED JOBS AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR
PRINCIPAL EARNERS OF WELFARE-ELIGIBLE FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN. THE
STUDY IS AN OUTHGROWTH OF RECENT WELFARE REFORM PROPOSALS WHICH
SEEK TO REDIRECT THE PROGRAM AWAY FROM CASH BENEFITS AND TOWARD
INCREASING THE EMPLOYABILITY OF THE WELFARE POPULATION. THE SUBJECT
SURVEY WILL INTERVIEW PARTICIPANTS SHORTLY AFTER ENROLLMENT AND AT
SUBSEQUEN
