Abstract: OF-174 IS USED TO (1) FURNISH THE DEPARTMENT WITH INFORMATION ON LOCALLY-HIRED AMERICANS AND ALIENS, (2) PROVIDE BIOGRAPHIC DATA AND OTHER PERSONNEL INFORMATION TO ENABLE THE DEPARTMENT TO SCREEN ALL APPLICANTS BEFORE EMPLOYMENT, AND (3) FURTHER THE SECURITY PROGRAM OVERSEAS IN ACCORD WITH PROCEDURES USED BY THE FOREIGN SERVICE ON ITS WASHINGTON APPOINTEES.
