Abstract: THESE REPORTS ARE USED FOR SURVEILLANCE AND PROGRAM MANAGEMENT OF THE NUMBER OF WOMEN TESTED, POSITIVE, AND TREATED FOR GONORRHEA BY TYPE OF HEALTH CARE PROVIDER AND BY PROGRAM AREA. THE NUMBER OF PENICILLIANXE-PRODUCING NEISSERIA GONORRHOEAE (PPNG) PROVIDES US WITH INFORMATION ON THE EXTENT AND TREND OF THE NEW PROBLEM OF GONORRHEA STRAINS WHICH RESIST TREATMENT WITH ALL FORMS OF PENICILLIN.
