1936, AS AMENDED AUTHORIZES THE MARITIME ADMINISTRATION TO PAY
CONSTRUCTION-DIFFERENTIAL SUBSIDY QUALIFIED U.S. SHIPBUILDERS OR
OPERATORS TO REDUCE OR ELIMINATE THE COST DISPARITY WHICH EXISTS
BETWEEN U.S. AND FOREIGN SHIPBUILDING PRICES. THE APPLICATION FORM
REQUESTS SPECIFIC INFORMATION FROM THE APPLICANT USED IN DETERMING
ELIGIBILITY FOR THE SUBSIDY.
